The roots of the Calgary Stampede can be traced back to 1886, when the Calgary and District Agricultural Society held its first fair. The purpose of the fair was to highlight the burgeoning ranching and farming community in southern Alberta.
130 years later, ranchers and farmers are still thriving near Cowtown, and we've decided to throw the great ranchers that supply Sunnyside Natural Market into the spotlight. We encourage you to read about each of these farms: Broek Pork Acres, Ewe-Nique Farms, Blue Mountain Biodynamic Farms, Spragg's Meats, Sunworks Farm, TK Ranch, Uncle Bernie's Bison, and Winter's Turkeys.
Each farm is truly unique, and we're proud to support them. To celebrate their efforts, we'll be holding a meat-draw to give away a box filled with a variety of cuts from all the farmers listed above.
